So I have a rather large number of apples (thanks to everyone who gave me suggestions on good apple varieties, by the way!) and want to make some apple pie filling and can it. The only problem is that all of the recipes I find use cornstarch. I hate cornstarch in my apple pie--I don't like that thick goopy kind of apple pie. Does anyone have any suggestions or recipes on how to do it without the cornstarch? Or any apple preserves recipes?
