Holiday dinners and wine

The first two wine highlights of the holiday dining experience were 1. a fine bottle of Cornas that a few of us shared at the future in-law's after dinner Thanksgiving Day and 2. a very fine bottle of Cote Rotie (Cote Brun) the two of us shared Saturday night with Saltimbocca and a green salad. I liked it so much I saved the bottle because I intend to replicate it in the wine hold beneath my closet. Of course my fiancee HAD to tell me that a buddy once told him that Cote Rotie was supposed to be the best thigh spreader in the business. Honestly, guys. And it got him NOWHERE.

The third highlight was yesterday when a friend opened a bottle of Morellino di Scansano that she received as a gift at her going away (work) party a few weeks ago. The Morellino was like a superior Chianti Classico Riserva, perhaps even in the class of a good Brunello.

Does anyone know where this wine is available here in New Orleans? Help me, I'd like to buy a dozen.

Oh and I was introduced to Marc this weekend. Pretty smooth, considering how heavy a spirit it is.
