There are three new booths at the Saratoga Mitsuwa supermarket, showcasing select products (snacks/foods/gifts) from Hokkaido that's going on from now till Monday.
The first two booths that have been at the location for some time now are right around the corner from the bowls/ceramic shop, and one seems to be serving some sort of chuka soba/ramen (does not look terribly interesting). The booth next to it had a few samples of what appears to be ika maruyaki (grilled squid) but it was rather cold when I ate mine.
The new booths had multiple versions of the Japanese pastries/snacks (some made with some type of leafy grass, and mostly red bean filling on the inside), and one exotic looking egg dessert, inside an egg shaped container.
I did not look at the others in depth, but I did spot some freshly cooked fried goodies/appetizers that seemed to have sold out (or sampled out).
Those who are in the area should check it out. Probably not truly representative of the really good stuff Hokkaido has to offer, but interesting enough for what is being offered nonetheless.
And those who stop by Hana around the corner outside for lunch or dinner can probably give us a report on what you think of their hand made noodless ....apparently they added one or two cold noodle dishes. ;-)
