tried this place for the first time today.
went in with the lowest of expectations.
although, the food is not, imho, overall chow-worthy,
gotta admit, that if you're willing to sift through their many (well over 45) offerings,
it is pretty easy to come up with an acceptable meal with an unbelievably good
price: protein ratio.
they charge $11 for lunch (m-f) ayce.
in addition to offering fresh fruit (strawberries, cherries, pineapple), for dessert they had custard, pastries and ice cream. i ate at least $4 worth of fresh cherries as my dessert, so, as a whole, the meal was an unbelievable bargain for me.
for the most part, food quality is above grocery store food quality.
the sushi/sashimi quality is not as good as hide, but far better than many neighborhood sushi bars (one type of sashimi, two types of sushi, and about 6 different types of rolls available).
i completely avoided all the deep-fried and stir-fried offerings, so i can't comment on them.
free parking at westside pavillion.
