I don't know whether many Chowhounds would stop in at the Hobbit Hole Cafe, but just in case you were thinking about it.... DON'T BOTHER!
My wife got one of their wraps, while it is good, it wasn't anything spectacular. I on the other hand order a burger and onion rings. Nothing fancy, but what I wanted that night. The burger was supposed to be medium. It was so rare by the time I got towards the center of the burger, I was thankfull that I didn't order rare (it would probably never have touched the grill). I paid $1.80 for an order of onion rings, little did I know that an order only consists of six rings. Not only that, but four of my six came from near the end of the onion and were very small. The rings were very greasy and not all that good. I questioned the waiter about only six rings (do the math, .30 cents each). He could only say no and repeat "I'm sorry" over and over. No offer to make the situation better was made at this time. He left. After about three or four minutes he came back and offered that IF I HAD NOT EATEN ANY, then he would take them off my plate and off the bill. Of course by then I had taken a bite (why do you think he left for a few minutes), what was he going to do anyway? throw them away? We would throw them away (or eat them himself) but not bring out more to make a real portion.
In short... Houston has too many fine places to eat, don't waste your time at The Hobbit Hole Cafe!
