Restaurants & Bars

Hilton Head Recommendations

IOPfoodie | Apr 20, 201511:40 AM     4

My husband and I are headed down to HHI for a few nights before our baby arrives later next month. We live in Charleston and we know that the restaurants we frequent on a regular basis are COMPLETELY different than the typical tourist trap restaurant that are flooded all over the peninsula and barrier islands. That being said, we like to eat! I've asked around and read through all of the old boards/posts on this topic (many of which are a few years old) so curious where the locals or frequent visitors eat while visiting. We aren't looking to venture off the island for this trip, so sticking to HHI only. Open to any type of restaurant, just looking for good food with a comfortable atmosphere, maybe a view. My husband will golf during the day while I'm at the beach or spa and then we'll meet for dinner. Red Fish seems to come highly recommended by Charleston folk. Research on Chowhound is steering me towards Hudsons but it looks like a tourist trap - is it really good? Poseidon? Old Fort Pub?
