The talented and lovely Joe McGuirk (formerly of Toad, B-side, Beehive) is bartending there occasionally. It was such a treat to see him behind the bar last night, and his stint in California hasn't impacted his mad mixology skillz.
Food was good. I had the Highland fish fry which was with cod instead of the usual catfish. Delicious and perfectly cooked. Served with fries (subbed for hushpuppies), slaw and pickles. Sadly the fries were a little soggy last night, unlike last time. Appetizer of bluefish cakes was delicious. Little side of mac n cheese was mac n cheesy.
Our server was sweet -- again, this is a place where they seem happy to be there and happy to see patrons happy.
Pretty quiet when we arrived around 6:30 -- busy by 8, and full when we left around 9.
