High Teas - comments and suggestions wanted

Shannon Clark | Mar 22, 2004 10:18 AM

Hi all,

My girlfriend recently went to the Peninsula's high tea and was very disappointed in the overall experience, from only okay food to sugar presented in a silver tray but in paper packets, she felt the overall quality and experiance was not up to the $30/person price tag (with champagne).

In the past we have very much enjoyed the high tea at Aion. Not overly fancy, but for $9.00 a person, a great mix of sweet and savories, a wonderful date (it was our first) and the teas and the selection are hard to beat (100+ varieties).

As a treat in the upcoming months I would like to take her to a great high tea, however given her recent disappointment I thought I would first ask for suggestions.

(btw, before anyone asks - I am male - the name causes confusion about once every two months or so online)
