High BTU burners, are they worth it?

Hi, I just wanted the opinion of people who have invested in high BTU burners, be they cooktops or full ranges, is the extra money you've paid for high BTU burners worth it in your opinion? Do you cook better with such burners? I have heard that to do proper wok cooking you need a high BTU burner, do you feel that is true? What about other kind of cooking, sauteing, stove top braising etc? I know that having the proper tools can improve the performance and even the enjoyment of cooking, so I'd appreciate the feedback of those members who use them and can comment on how they find cooking now vs with standard cooktops. Thanks.
