Hero Certified Burgers

Finally got to try Hero. Went to their new location on Hwy 7 and Commerce Valley E (same plaza as Baton Rouge)

Here's my unprofessional review.

The place was clean. You don't see the burger being cooked, nor the choices of condiments. You order off their menu board.

Great quality angus beef. Pink in the centre. Crisp outer crust. Bun made by Whole Foods (a brioche??).

You get a choice of free condiments. Fries were really good.

You can tell they use good ingredients - but together the whole burger lacked a perfect balance and harmony.

Burger came with red onions and tomato and as I say a choice of condiments ranging from their special sauce, ketchup, honey mustard, red pepper sauce, pickles, relish, etc.

Overall, it was a nice burger, but like I said, the beef, bun and condiments lack harmony. I kind of felt it was all too dry even with the sauces. Maybe I should have asked for more honey mustard and have mayo added.

If they pack the meat looser (it was a but too dense), provide the same quality and range of sauces as Magoo's in Etobicoke. They would have a sure fire winner! Plus, the fries were great!

I hear the Chicken Breast sandwich is great, so on my next visit, I will try that.
