Heavy Noodling for lunch

Lunch today:

1) Pan fried pork dunplings - these were great - I liked the texture of their dunpling skin, specially when it was fried. The pork filling was also quite tasty.

2) The noodle soup with beef and tendons - the noodles were definitely like papardelle (I somehow had imagined they would be the thick oblong slices of rice noodles that I have had at Tung Lai Shun) - the noodles were quite good, the soup base was good (for me, much better than Ma Lan, for example, but I still like the Pho soup base in Vietnamese restaurants - perhaps my personal taste), there were plenty of spinach and one other leafy green, not a whole lot of beef pieces - it would be worth going back for other soup bases

3) Lamb with leeks - this was extremely tasty - slightly thickish sauce, with soft slices of well flavored lamb and lots of leek and scallions.

We passed on the cold dishes (the display was not attractive - all dishes were wrapped in Saran wrap, and so the appeal was not all that great), and missed trying on their cat ear dish and the special black porridge dessert that Jerome wrote about. Worth going back.
