Heather's - Nyack

Michele Cindy | Apr 10, 2003 10:55 AM

Message: Per an old recommendation from Deven we went to Heather's to celebrate our wedding anniversary on Monday. The meal was excellent. We started with clams oreganata, small juicy clams in a lemony breading, and then we ordered the corn chowder it was sweet and mellow. I wondered why there were no salads on the menu, then I was surprised when we received them as part of our meal. They also give you a hunk of parmesan cheese, and brusheta. Which reminded me of Il Mulino (our old anniversary place until we unexpectedly bought a $75.00 app.) For entrees I ordered the black linguine with lobster w/ vermouth. Ok but I think I would have preferred it more if it were made with sherry. My husband ordered shrimp parmesan. but the menus version had ham since he doesn't eat meat the waiter person/owner(?) prepared a different version that was one of the best we ever ate. The mozzarella cheese was excellent, soft and creamy. Dessert - we ordered cheesecake which was good, since it was our anniversary it was complimentary a really nice touch to end our meal. Drinks too were good, we had golden margaritas.
