We (5 adults+1 pre-teen) will be in venice for my parent 50th wedding anniversary, the last week of april.
We have an apartment (near Campo Nazario Sauro) and plan to eat in most of the nights.
Girlfriend (love meat, NO seafood!) and I (eat everything) will go out at least once.
Couple of places I stumble upon (here and elsewhere)
- Al Covo (fish only?)
- Il Ridotto
- Da Ivo
- Osteria L'Orto dei Mori
- Da Luca e Fred
- Osteria alle Testiere
- Ristorante Al Canton Dei Artisti (close to the apartment)
- Vini da Gigio.
- Acqua Pazza
- Antiche Carampane (fish/seafood only?)
We will probably have a "big night" for the proper 50th anniversary; we are _not_ looking for a high-end but something that we can celebrate and have fun (6 persons). (any of the above would be fitting ?) If that does not work out, then we will make a fancy dinner (see below).
Since we are in an appartment, we will be cooking a few time and we all are great cooks (so say our friends and family).
Looking for proper food store (for fish and meat and vegetable and wine); anything else than the Rialto Market? Drogheria Mascarti for wine (bio and natural wines)?
Coffee/Breakfast and Gelato ? any outstanding places ?
Good Aperitivo on a terrasse to end up a day of mingling with all the other tourists?
For lunch, we'll wing-it
Thanks a lot!
