New Hawaiian Restaurant in San Ramon

Dinah | Mar 14, 2003 02:16 AM

This family restaurant is brand new, only about a month or so old now. Nothing fancy but good food! It offers grilled "plate lunch" type island food all hours but also has "Luau Specials" on Friday and Saturday nites only. The "Luau Specials" include Lau Lau, Kalua Pork, Poi, Haupia, etc. Plan to arrive early for the specials as people line up and out the door quickly!
The owners (large extended family) are very pleasant and helpful and their prices are reasonable. They clearly want their restaurant to become a "local" kind of place and take a very personal interest in their customers. I have enjoyed visiting several times since their opening and hope they succeed. So far, they have been very busy!!!
