Two visits in two weeks with a second posting is borderline obsessive but four of us ventured out Thursday and the reaction was pretty unanimous. Two new replacement dishes, a dungeness crab salad and a slow cooked salmon, were equally satisfying with the halibut and olive puree and the duck with sunchoke puree also memorable. I, atypically, started with the foie gras terrine which was perfectly paired with Breadbar's toasted nut bread and, I believe, a mango coulis. The 'croque madame' continued to live up to its hype with one guest proclaiming that she would return just for that. Desserts included a luxurious chocolate bomb with coconut sorbet, a fruit laden panna cotta, and delicious beignets with chocolate sauce and eav de vie spiked milk (lovely). My friends were quite happy with the glasses of the 2000 Sylvaner and the 2001 Nuit St. George that accompanied their meals and I have to say that ginger beer may be my new iced tea alternative when I can get it. $233 before tip for four. Great service and hopsitality continue to belie this restaurant's newness.
