I HATE My Kitchenaide Mixer! Here's Why

chezron | Mar 2, 201401:19 PM     22

I have the "classic" Kitchenaide Mixer and I HATE it. There I said it!
Unless I am missing something, this is why I hate it:
1) You cannot mix and scrape down the bowl at the same time. I have to stop the mixer and scrape down the bowl and resume mixing.
2) It doesn't thoroughly mix EVERYTHING in the bowl. It leaves areas the beater does not reach unmixed.
3) I hate one beater - I need two- the action between the beaters is lacking in a Kitchenaide
4) It is messy, liquid goes flying everywhere when it operates

I wish I still had the two-beater stand mixer I grew up with. It thoroughly mixed everything and you could operate it and scrape it at the same time. Can anyone suggest an excellent stand mixer that is metal? NO Plastic! Even a good vintage model because I can get it on Ebay. Thanks
