Low-hassle good food close to the Magnificent Mile?

I'll be visiting from New York soon. I've made my major "destination dining" plans for the week, but I'd also like some tips on places to eat near my hotel, which is at Michigan and Delaware, for lunches and/or dinners on busier days when I don't have time for a lot of planning, or for a lengthy multi-course extravaganza.

Any food genre is okay. Ambience should be reasonably comfortable (i.e. no screaming mobs, or out-of-control bar scenes that overflow into the dining area), but I'm not looking for candlelit luxury, and I don't want to worry about putting on a jacket. It would also be great if I don't have to be tied to a reservation (at least, not one that I have to make more than a few hours in advance), and extreme proximity to the hotel would be a big plus. Having to stand and wait for a table would definitely be a big minus. I've been reading the reviews of Pili.Pili, which sounds good, but I'd love to find someplace really close if possible.
