HI ! Fellow Hounds
I had made several trips out to Sunnyside Queens to visit friends and we had been very pleased to see the opening of this new restaurant.
It was great! Just what the neighborhood needed. And it made the idea of trekking out to Queens palatable ( pun intended).
ON our most recent visits we found something had changed. It is like the charm and spirit had faded. We had read the review in ZAGAT and were very happy to see its positive rating, how ever we sharply disagreed with the comments about the Bliss service. On all of our early visits both food and service were on par with any restaurants of the same caliber restaurants in Manhattan.
But as of late one of my dining companions was quoted to say that,
"in the beginning a trip to Bliss was like shopping at Bloomingdales and now it seemed more like the 99cent store"
Is it asking to much to have a restaurant of good quality in Queens??
Brooklyn seems to have its fair share.
I fear that if some miraculous resurrection dose not happen with a land slide of confirmations we may not return.
