Handmade tortillas on Devon? - Taqueria El Pueblo

stirs-the-pot | Dec 8, 2003 11:01 PM

Hey there taco-nistas, I was enjoying my evening constitutional to the Devon post office when the unmistakable aroma of melted lard hit me, it was then that I stumbled upon "Taqueria El Pueblo" in a shabby strip center East of Western on the North side of the street . They proudly exclaimed "tortillas hecho a mano".

Having already eaten (Kababish of London), I peeked in the window and noticed several specialties of the casa including "tacos de alambres", Mexican shish kabob!!! (what delicious irony given the location) They also seem to feature many treats from the "siete mares" and a mole or two.

I thought I had sampled the goods at most tables and counters from McCormick to Broadway but this place totally slipped under my radar.

Surely, one of you has been?

STP
