Will my handles melt?

No, not my love handles. The handles on my pot, if I put it into the oven for 1-2 hrs. on 300 degrees.

I am making braised lambshanks - sear them first, then slow cook in wine and stock for 1-2 hours in covered casserole. The only thing large enough to fit them all is my large stock pot. Usually used for spaghetti, big batches of chili. I have only used it stove top. It has hard black plastic handles that look pretty sturdy. Don't know the brand.

Were I to put a blow torch to them I suppose they'd melt, but I think they'll be ok at the low temp. I did a test last night - 30 mins at 300 - and they were hot, but not in the least bit malleable. No plastic-y noxious smell either. (I think it impolite to poison my guests - I am old-fashioned that way.)
