I visited this amazing supermarket on the weekend. It's a huge Korean supermarket with lots of parking. I loved the exotic seafood selections they had. They have a fish tanks with live Korean flukes frown in from Juju island in Korea. It was like $13 per pound and I asked the guy to filet the fish to eat it as sashimi. OMG, the meat was amazing. So chewy and firm to's nothing like mushy fluke meat I am used to here. I highly recommend it if you like this kind of thing.
Also bought 2 live abalones, sea cucumbers and sea pineapples. They were all alive and fresh and ate them raw.
They also had Korean blood sausages flown in from Korea from some famous place. I tried a sample and was excellent as well...nothing like the blood sausage I am used to here. I am going back next weekend just to buy the blood sausage. Another thing I picked up is Korean Kalbi..For $9 a pound, the meat had excellent marbling and was really delicious grilled over the weekend.
I also picked up some fish cakes that had bits of squid and they too were excellent.
I can't wait until I go back.
