Restaurants & Bars

I had occasion to be in Jamaica Estates today, on Hillside Av. and 169 St. Hamza is a very inexpensive, no-frills Pakistani halal restaurant, and one that I frequented when I used to teach at Queensboro Community College. Main dishes tend to be very fatty, but they are generally tasty and authentic (often rather spicy, but that depends on what you order). I had a snack today of 2 rasmalai for $2. I asked the proprietor how business was, and he said it was slow. His mood was clearly very dismal. I hope that he is able to make it through this difficult period.
