Hamburgers and Stella Artois at Moonshine

Jon | Dec 7, 2005 11:02 AM

I discovered a great ‘burger at Moonshine, 1824 W. Division, 773. 862. 8686.

At $8., the burger was moist, tasty and had a charred grilled crust. Equally as good as the hamburgers recently listed in the, “Top Burgers in Chicago” article.

Ordered medium rare and there was pink in the middle, a rare event judging from my Chicago burger experiences.

In addition, on a bitterly cold Chicago day, the French Fries stayed warm throughout the meal.

As an added treat for me, Moonshine had Stella Artois on tap. The beer is served in a “moonshine” glass, a Mason Jar.

The jar is short and fat and looks quite small when compared alongside a pint glass. But, with the help of the friendly bartender, we discovered that this jar holds a significant amount more than a 16 oz. pint glass.

The Stella is a great deal for only $4.00.

Moonshine has a cozy warm, fireplace, but food is not served in that area.
