hamburger mary's

I just wanted to put my two cents in about the newly-opened Hamburger Mary's...
First of all, I think it's a great concept - kinda spunky, a nice hiatus from the nearby snobbery of Rittenhouse Square, and it boasts an all-American menu staple, to boot!
I ate there the other night with some friends, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere - fun, whimsical, but not over-the-top. The menu selection was good, and our service was great. And how can you beat such a great location? Right in the business district (translation: satisfying workday lunch), just steps away from some great nightspots (translation: munchies and cravings kicked), and a great place to eat so you literally don't drop when you shop...
And with a bar right can just show up and get ready to eat, drink, and be merry!
Of course there are always a few kinks when a place first opens, but overall, I think this place is working them out ok. Every meal may not be absolutely spectacular...but how does the saying go? Rome wasn't built in a day...
