Ham Salad?

Deenso | Mar 30, 2006 03:27 PM

I know it's a throwback to another era (Chock Full o' Nuts coffee shops, etc.), but does anyone know of anyplace in midtown Manhattan (Grand Central Station area) that actually still makes good, old-fashioned ham salad sandwiches? It's just something I've been craving lately: a lovely, slightly sweet combination of chopped ham, mayonnaise, a little mustard, and sweet pickle relish with lettuce on whole wheat. Mmmmm. I know I can make it myself and bring it to work, but I never seem to think of it when I'm at home in the evening - it's something that hits me right around 11:45 or so. Suppose I'll have to think ahead and brown bag it, but I'd love to know if it's around anywhere.
