Haggis the DC/Baltimore area?

GregJ | Jul 15, 2002 12:14 PM

As long as we're on the subject of exotic eats, does anyone know of a place in the DC/Baltimore area where one might purchase [a?][some?] haggis? As a student at Edinburgh University some years ago, I lived in a rooming house where the land lady (who actually was from Yorkshire) served this dish (along with dry mashed potatoes and boiled turnips) once a week. It was pretty awful -- and she wouldn't let us wash it down with whisky, which did have the effect, over time, of making it palatable.

I'm not certain that I actually wish to purchase a haggis. Knowing that one is (or is not) available nearby may be enough.
