Last year I was in Guilin in southern China. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, eats bowls of noodles for breakfast. I've never seen anything like it here. Thin rice noodles in a wonderful broth topped with scallions, crispy pieces of fatty pork and peanuts. Then loads of condiments including chilis and pickles to add on top. Cost = 15 cents.
Is it possible there is Chowhound who knows where this dish can be found here? I don't mind spending more than $0.15.
