I am arranging a dinner for about 8 work colleagues in Chicago, and am looking for the right place - not too loud, but not too hushed, relatively close by cab to our hotel, and have come up with a list of restaurants in the right price point. One thing I would like to avoid is the sharing of plates if possible, and though I would like to keep this to a minimum, it looks like for most restaurants, sharing of appetizers is the norm. I do really want everyone to have their own entree, since some of us are more finicky and unadventurous eaters than others. The only dietary restriction is one person who follows a gluten-free diet. Out of the following, what do you think might work best? Thanks for any insight.
