In the past i have had great success with yogurt marinated meats when cooked in a skillet where the yogurt becomes a sort of sauce. I always liked what the yogurt does for the meat so i decided to grill some yogurt, ginger, garlic, garam masala, s&p, chile powder marinated chicken breasts. the marinade worked ended up smelling really good and i was excited. However when i grilled the chicken, the outside ended up sticking to the grill grate. It still tasted really good but it was missing the char that grilled food gets. So i have a few questions.
1) I normally dont grill breasts, i ussually use thight meat. Was the fact that there is less fat in the breasts cause the meat to stick? If so should i have used an oil in the marinade or oiled the grill better?
2) Was it in fact the yogurt that caused it to stick to the grill and if this was the case should i have wiped the marinade off of the meat before grilling?
3)Should i have kept the recipe the same only removed the center grill grate and grill the meat on skewers directly propped over the heat source?
Thanks for any suggestions
