Finally finally made it to Green St Grill in Central Saturday night. After hearing about the curried goat stew, I just had to try it for myself. Really really good and yes, very spicy... almost inedible as one previous hound mentioned. There was a lot of goat which was really tender and tasted great. The stew came with fried ripe plantains, yucca, and sweet potato. The plantains were the best plaintains I've ever been served in Boston - usually they're too ripe, not ripe enough, too oily, etc - but these were right on. The yucca had the correct texture too, but there wasn't that much of it.
Also shared the chorizo/shrimp appetizer which came in a mojito sauce which was good and quickly disappeared. My bf ordered the pork chops (good, but apparently was not that impressed with the quality of the meat) and another friend ordered the chicken breast. I'm personally not that huge of fan of chicken, but her chicken was very juicy and tender. Sorry, I can't elaborate more but they both really enjoyed there meals. Both the other entrees ordered came with sweet mashed potatos. There was also a pea soup which I didn't taste, but supposedly was good. The total for the meal came out to about $100 dollars for three entrees, three appetizers, and two drinks. I'd definitely go back. Oh, also the service was a little slow.
