Green Bar, Embarcadero 3 (San Francisco)

Ruth Lafler | Aug 19, 201601:24 PM

In a comment in the Eatsa thread someone mentioned that sandwiches are heading "north of $10." I've come to think that Green Bar, tucked away in the second level of Embarcadero 3 is one of the best values in the Financial District.

The salad bar has a good variety of salad fixings, composed salads (pasta, grain, fruit, etc.), and hot dishes that change daily -- a good deal at $8.95 a pound. I haven't tried the soups, but the sandwiches are excellent and come with either a pile of organic greens or house-made chips (cut up strips of the red, green and yellow flour tortillas they use for wraps) for $7.95. It's my new "go-to" in this area.
