Great Xiao Long Bao at Diverse Dim Sum, Flushing Mall Food Court

Peter Cuce | Mar 2, 201206:59 PM     7

Tipped off by a friend, I paid my first visit in ages to the mostly moribund Flushing Mall Food Court to check out a new stall called Diverse Dim Sum. As promised, the crab xiao long bao were among the best in NYC, with thinner wrappers than Nan Xiang, delicious soup, and good pork/crab filling. The meat was ever so slightly over cooked and so wasn't as tender as it could have been. I can't remember how much I paid, but it wasn't expensive. Six to an order.

I'm told the silken tofu w/ peanuts at this stall is also great, but I didn't try it. I'm looking forward to sampling lots of other dumplings here.
