Great Service in St. Louis

I have read most of the recent postings for St.Louis and most seem to focus on purely the culinary side of things. I prefer to seek out places that do a great job of combining service with culinary expertise. For example, Tony's does the best job of combining service and cuisine into a great package, however that is not a realistic adventure to go on more than once a year. What I am looking for are those places where the service is so good that it upgrades the perception of the cuisine. The antithesis of what I seek are places like Modesto on the hill, where the food is truly wonderful but is taken down several notches due to the unbelievably inept service staff (It doesn't matter if emeril is cooking in the kitchen if the staff can't get it to the table hot.) This seems to be a recurring theme in St. Louis restaurants that I find very frustrating. Restaurants that I find providing a great service and cuisine combination are ones such as Annie Gunn's and Tratorria Marcella. Nachomama's on Manchester may just be a carryout place but the people behind the counter are interested in making sure your food is right and I usually will choose them over other mexican takeout just because they are so pleasant I perceive their food to be better. At Hunan Star on Manchester the food is not that different from any other Chinese restaurant, but the manager/owner whose name is Ping is so into making sure that people enjoy his restaurant and that families and kids feel welcome in his establishment that I wouldn't consider going elsewhere for Chinese food with my family. I would like to know what other hounds in St. Louis think are places that really succeed on the service aspect.
