Heads up for folks in the city or passing through the area. I was in OKC recently and the food at Elemental Coffee was so good, I ate lunch there three times.

Twice I had the Sweet Jesus sandwich: sweet potato puree, roasted spicy cauliflower, Gouda cheese, and fried egg.... all on quality rye bread. The sandwich is so good that, as they say, it will make you want to slap your Mamma! Meat lovers are not to worry. They also make a killer ham/brie/fig jam sandwich. Warning! It is a healthy portion and it is so good you will not want to stop eating it. Food coma is serious risk with that sandwich!

These amazing sandwiches also come with a choice of side. I had spicy, sesame green beans (delicious!) every day but there were a variety of options to choose from.

Finally, the baked goods were amazing. I was lucky enough one day to grab the last peach and black pepper muffin. I love it when bakers think outside the box this way. It was out of this world and I tried to go back and buy more the next day, but they had already sold out when I got there. Elemental Coffee is apparently rather famous for their salted chocolate chip cookies, though that combo didn't wow me as much. I'm a spicy vs salty/sweet kind of gal.

A word about lunch..... This place is primarily a coffee house and they only serve lunch from 11-2. Plan accordingly.
