Great Peanut butter Eclair

La Baguette Shop 106 University PL

I've been a big fan of this bakery for years, but somehow I've never posted about this place on this board.

This place is not authentic or sophisticated french bakery. Please do not compare with the bakeries like
Balthazar, Ceci-Cela, Claude, Payard, Fauchon,
Petrossian, etc... it's like a "B" french bakery,
but a great "B" french bakery.

reacently, they've started making the Peanut butter Eclair, and this is great! a big slab of Eclair with
a lots of fluffy crunchy type of peanut butter cream inside. again, this is a "B" great Eclair.do not expect
a sophisticated Eclair.It's $2.75.

I also recommend their "signature" Raspberry croissant.
a simple croissant with raspberry jam inside.I've been to this bakery just for this for long time.it's a great "B" croissant.
onece again, their croissant is not authentic- butterly,
flaky- or sophisticated, but the crossants (including other croissants like plain, choco, etc ) here are always hot & fresh.they just bake a small batch, so most of the time, the croissants are right out from the oven which is sitting right behind the counter.
this makes their croissant special.

the ham/spinach & cheese croissant is a good savory choice too.

do not try the cakes.it's pretty bad.
