Great meal at Pops

sailormouth | May 22, 2008 09:38 PM

I had a great meal at Pops tonight, it was so simple and good I wanted to tell everyone about the delicious meatloaf. It was advertised as a kobe beef meatloaf (which seems a little precious, but whatev). It was a huge piece on top of nice mashed potatoes in a light gravy. Has lots of onions, an herb I can't nail down and was perfectly cooked. It also came with two very sweet carrots. The portion was enormous, which for me is typically a turn-off, but I think some dishes call for it, meatloaf being one of them. I got a side of spinach as well on the waitresses recommendation, it was quite good but didn't pair well with the meatloaf.

There was so much left on my plate I brought home a doggy back, which is a first for me. Total bill including a glass of cab, tax and a tip was $40.00, which I think would be high if I wasn't snacking on it now and will probably have the rest for breakfast.

EDIT: I think the main mystery herb is oregano, but not sure.

EDIT 2: Didn't make it to breakfast. . .
