Another great lunch at Olive & Vine (Glen Ellen)

Today I had my first lunch this year at Olive & Vine, a catering company with kitchen and cafe in Jack London Village just south of Glen Ellen (a few miles north of the town of Sonoma). It's my favorite lunch place in the Sonoma (town) area and reminds me a lot of the Water Street Bistro in Petaluma, another favorite. Both are sort of a combination of deli and cafe with an owner/chef who really know her stuff. For example, today I had a grilled ahi sandwich with wasabi sauce and a unique and very good pasta/veg salad (you get a choice of several salads). If you've never been and you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to try it.

Also fronting on the road in the complex are:
- Eric Ross Winery (across the road; I've never tried it)
- Raymond & Co. cheese shop (tasting for $5; I had just eaten lunch so didn't do that; I'll change the sequence next time)
- Figone Olive Oil Co. (replacing the moved Olive Press coop)
- Wine Country Chocolates (very good!).

There are other places there including a wine bar/cafe in the rear of the building.
