Great lunch deal at Commander's Palace in Vegas

Clam/corn chowder soup or Caesar salad

Entree of Salmon with veggies or a chicken and andouille sauce (gumbo?) served around (not on - to preserve the unique flavor of) some special rice. I had the salmon so I can't quite remember that other dish's description other than it had rice described as "popcorn" in flavor.

desert of either bananas foster or white chocolate bread pudding.

3 courses for $19.95(ish). Very tasty. Each dish was a delight in taste, presented with 1st class service (We had 4 people dining and 4 servers brought out each round at the same time and presented them with flair as a team). It was 4 white linen dining for under $20 a person.

Well not quite.

Thay had/have another deal going for lunch... 25 cent Martinis. It was a working lunch for me and a cohort so we ended up paying $2.50 a pop for cokes while our two friends enjoyed top notch cocktails for a quarter each! Stupid us. Oh well. In might have been there for hours if I had induldged.

This might have been the best meal I had in Vegas in three recent trips because of these reasons:
- great service
- great price
- the "special" helped us not be intimidated by the brand, the experience was genuine and thus they got a big foot in my door for consideration the next time I'm considering a meal in the area.

In contrast, for another lunch we wanted a simple meal and 3 of us paid about $15 a pop for a Pink's Hot Dog in the same Aladdin complex. For $5 more you can go from a soggy weiner to a solid experience with Commander's Palace.
