The Great La Cumbre is Back!

After an unconsionably long hiatus for remodeling the plant, the best carne asada burrito anywhere is again available! Yes, what distinguishes the venerable La Cumbre from all the rest is that the skirt steak is charred yet juicy - constantly being flame grilled right before your eyes. It never sits around getting dry on a steam table like in all those other Taquerias that make the so called "best burrito" lists.
****QUESTION**** If anyone knows where else in SF I can get a flame grilled carne asada burrito where the meat doesn't sit around before you get it I'd really like to know.
La Cumbre - East side of Valencia st., just south of 16th. st.
It may seem a minor point to the non-chow hound (but then why would you be here?) but I must recommend you choose whole pinto beans and not refried - the TEXTURE contrast. Also, avoid all that "super - burrito" detritus. It's just a detraction from the purity of the charred/juicy carne asada steak.
Actually, I may may break down and go for the "extra-meat" deal for the first time soon. I hate to start thinking of myself as a glutton, but that steak is just so darn good!
