Great Jambalaya - Where?

John Francis | Apr 9, 2005 03:31 PM

I got addicted to La Petite Crevette's jambalaya, had it at least once or twice a month. Now LPC is suddenly gone, and what am I to do? Look for another supplier, I guess.

Stan's Place on Atlantic Ave. near Bond St. is said to do good Cajun. Anyone had jambalaya there? Any comments on that or the rest of their menu?

There are also Cajun places in the other boroughs, several in Manhattan, and could be that non-specialist places do good jambalaya too. Any info/recommendations?

Walked by La Petite Crevette yesterday evening, the door was open (somebody was doing something in the basement), so I went in. Seeing the place stripped like that, all forlorn, hurt more than I'd expected. The awning and neon sign are gone, and I hope the owner saved them and will put them up in a new place where I can go for jambalaya again. Meanwhile, I feel like I'm in mourning.
