Great Induction Deep Fryer for $40.00!

zackly | Jul 4, 201502:14 PM     1

I bought this Tatung induction hot plate & covered pan combo awhile back from Newegg when it was on sale. It sat unopened in the box until last evening when I wanted to try a new recipe for Mochiko Chicken that I wanted to deep fry. I have both a Fry Daddy & a larger two basket deep fryer but I thought I'd give this a shot. It worked great! Heated the oil quickly and recovered the temperature after I put the food in, nicely. I like the wider & shallower profile a lot more than the Fry Daddy where foods get crowded easier. Safe & easy to clean, I just put the pan & glass lid in the dishwasher. If I had it to do over again I'd look for the 1,800 watt version but I'd only pay a few dollars more for it because this unit is very adequate. I'm sure you could use a larger pan as this pan is only a couple quarts capacity.
