Great Fairways steak dinner

Deborah Pastor | Apr 2, 2004 10:58 PM

Went to Fairways with the family last week and had a great time. My husband and I ordered a rib steak and a strip respectively, each one was good, and the accompanying sauces were great too. The steaks had great flavor - but lacked the perfection of texture that would put them at the top of my NY list. My son's burger was fantastic (well, it was $10!), great quality meat. And the staff was nice enough to accommodate my picky daughter with a special meal. I wouldn't bother getting the 3 course steak dinner - I don't think you'll have room. We split a salad, each had steak, split an order of fries and couldn't eat anymore. The wine-by-the-glass menu was well-priced and had some good selections.

Note - this is not a romantic restaurant, or the traditional hushed corporate style steakhouse. I think it is more appropriate for informal meals, and while not strictly speaking a family restaurant - my 6 and 11 year old kids felt comfortable. And the price is right.
