Just had a great DAT at Cosmopolitan Cafe!

svL | Jan 27, 200504:06 PM

Four of us went last night to the Cosmopolitan Cafe in Rincon Center for a DAT dinner and it was truly excellent. Unlike some other restaurants' DAT, you get two or three selection for each course, and none of them are of lesser quality than the regular menu choices. The DAT dinner is really good value and a great introduction to this high-quality upscale restaurant.

Every course selection was interesting, creative. beautifully plated and bursting with flavors. The unobtrusive service was perfect. Even though the restaurant was quite full you wouldn't notice it; the service was totally attentive but appeared effortless.

The restaurant is quite elegant and romantic. After 8pm they have a jazz pianist, but it's mostly for background music and is not loud in any way.

Their wine list is very good but pricey. They do have some under-$30 choices in every wine category. Corkage is $20.

If you are still thinking of doing a DAT, don't hesitate and go to Cosmopolitan. For us, this was the best DAT dinner.
