I have been to Marseille several times, but had not tried the couscous. Last night I decided to try their lamb couscous, and I am so happy I did. The lamb was perfectly stewed and there was also merguez sausage in the dish. The harissa on the side added a nice kick, the chutney added complexity to the flavors, and the whole thing just turned out to be an exceptional dish. Everything else was as good as ever, especially the espresso parfait for dessert, but it was the couscous that really amazed me.
