Many thanks for the great advice - Fissler is amazing

mohom | Mar 1, 201906:38 PM     22

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all (am47 and others) who so generously gave advice and steered me to the Fissler 7.2L rondeau. It arrived today (Detroit) from Amazon.es and finally (after a month) I have a piece of cookware that works flawlessly on my new induction range. Between non-magnetic miscellaneous pots, scratched Demeyere that had to be returned, and numerous warped All-Clad plans and one old non-enameled-bottom glass-cooktop-scratching Le Creuset, I've been cooking with one large enameled-bottom Creuset dutch oven for a month, dealing with lots of hot spots, scorched onions, etc. This Fissler pot was a joy to cook with tonight (basic beef chili, but hey, it browned completely evenly, not a scorch mark in sight, didn't move a millimeter, and simmered at a perfectly even temperature)--so I think I've finally entered the 'wow induction is great' phase. So thank you thank you! (and one more question - any thoughts on storing food in the refrigerator in the Fissler pots ( as I've done often in Le Creuset)? I certainly don't want to damage this wonderful pot, so is it recommended not to refrigerate food in the Fissler pots? Again, thank you!
