This place has been receiving some pretty good reviews recently, and given that it is within walking distance to where we live, we should probably get off our butts and see what the buzz was about.
Phillippa Sibley, who is no stranger to the Australian food scene, known as the dessert queen, is the head chef, but is trying to shake off the moniker of dessert's only.
In short, I was very impressed. Great produce, fine food and a very reasonably priced wine list. The beef tartare and the ancient grain salad were sensational. The only downside was the time it took to get our food. I reckon we waited 40 minutes between entree and main.
Also check out the small produce store next door. Some of the wine was cheaper than my local bottle shop (Blackhearts and Sparrows), and tastings of the produce are always on offer.
