Did a quick search and cant believe The Grateful Palate hasnt been mentioned before. ate here about a week ago with a groupon (wish I could get another one!) and was VERY impressed. everything from the amuse to the dessert was delicious, well cooked, well timed, and served by a friendly, efficient wait staff.
started with an amuse of a watermelon and goat cheese skewer. perfect combination and great start to the meal. my friend and I then ordered the thai beef salad app. The waiter picked up on the fact that we would be sharing and had it split for us before it arrived at the table (into two pretty impressive portions i thought!). was slightly spicy, with hints of sweet and sour, with good crunch from the veg. for our meal i ordered the Chili glazed chicken supreme and my friend ordered duck two ways (roasted 8oz breast and leg confit wonton dumplings). everything was cooked perfectly and the sauces that each were served with were tasty, not to mention pretty decent sized portions considering the quality. also came with warm olive bread and crunchy breadsticks for the table. dessert was a chocolate cake with spiced ice cream... also very good!
in short, we left stuffed, satisfied, and ready to explore more of their menu on a return trip. and all for about 30 bucks each (without drinks)!
Edit: also, oops about the spelling of the name in the post title.
