Where to take Grandmother(77) for dinner after theatre

My grandmother (age 77) and my mother (59) are in the city to visit from Texas. They are both meat and potatoes kind of people - not foodies. But they are impressed by great service and interesting combinations (as long as they aren't too out there).

I'd like to take them someone that isn't overly snotty but that is a white table cloth / great service kind of place.

It is hard for me to choose though because they aren't about Sushi, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, etc. They really are just plain southern food kind of people.

I want to give them something new and different from what they normally eat but I want them to enjoy it. We are going Sunday night after a 7:00 show. So it can't be somewhere that is too difficult to get into. We are staying at the Peninsula so the concierge can help a bit but I think it needs to be somewhere solid but not overly popular.

Any suggestions????

Thanks so much!
