Grandma's Torte recipe - possibly Serbian?

Splendid Spatula | Nov 7, 201807:03 AM     6

Hi Hounds,
Seeking a recipe for something like the Grandma's Torte served at Milwaukee's Three Brothers restaurant. It is described as a "seven layer walnut based torte with fruit and topped with cream." Reality is many thin layers of walnut-y cake, perhaps with an apricot jam filling? The cream, if I recall correctly, is whipped cream on the side. Does this sound like a cake that anyone has made, or might have a recipe for? Googling is coming up with some interesting ideas, but not quite there yet. Thanks!
