So I finally found the new place on the UWS and promptly ordered a slice of potato pizza and cauliflower pizza to go. I then added a serving of their bread pudding as a test against the delectable and authentic one at La Boite en Bois -- the one to beat.
The French bistro won, hands down. Grandaisy's bread pudding tasted like Amaretto or almond paste was in it.
As for the pizzas, we both agreed that the cauliflower was a real winner.
The potato was less so. It resembled home fries with onions smeared over the dough and was visibly quite greasy.
